Minister Kyne announces €1.2m from the Dormant Accounts Fund to upgrade eight Volunteer Information Services to full Volunteer Centres

Minister of State at the Department of Rural and Community Development, Sean Kyne TD, today (15 October) announced the provision of funding of €1.2m from the Dormant Accounts Fund to upgrade eight Volunteer Information Services to full Volunteer Centres.

This announcement gives effect to the commitment contained in the Dormant Accounts Fund Action Plan 2018, announced by the Minister last July, to provide the necessary funding to upgrade Volunteer Information Services to full Volunteer Centres, in order to provide a consistent level of volunteering service nationwide. Minister Kyne announces funding of €115,000 for Volunteer Ireland to update their I-VOL database

The Minister of State at the Department of Rural and Community Development, Sean Kyne, TD, today (11 September 2018) announced the provision of funding of €115,000 for Volunteer Ireland to update the I-VOL database.

This database, the operational costs of which are funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development, is the national volunteering database.
